Differences between my wordpress.com and wordpress.org blogs

    when I created hintoninfo.wordpress.com I had access to the widget contact info…
    since I exported to hintoninfo.wordpress.com file and used for http://www.hintonbarber.com…
    Now I have lost access to that particular contact info widget. Why is there such a difference between my hintonbarber.com wordpress settings and the hintoninfo.wordpress.com settings..??
    Is there a number I can call to speak to someone??

    Hi there,

    You are correct; self-hosted WordPress.org sites do not have the same access to widgets as blogs hosted at WordPress.com. This is mainly due to the fact that they are distinctly different (although closely tied together at the same time):

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    WordPress.org users often enable plugins for some of the features and widgets not available. The easiest solution would be to input the information into a text widget (looks like you have already).
