Different Avatar and display name for each blog?

I started a second blog and it has carried over the original display name and avatar. Is it possible to use different ones for each blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In order to have a different username and Gravatar for your new blog, you will need to create a new WordPress.com account (using a different email address) and then you can transfer the new blog to that account.
Please let me know if you have any questions about how to do this.

It’s too dangerous if you want separation of blogs. People try, uploading and changing avatars and changing display names, but in eight years I’ve never seen anyone succeed at it. you ALWAYS forget and give it away. Always.

I’m not trying to hide or disguise anything, it’s just that each blog would have a different audience/set of interests. One is very much local whereas the others are national/global.

Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address. No matter how many blogs are created under any username account there will be only one gravatar and one primary blog that can be linked to that username.

While anything’s possible in the future, I don’t believe there are any plans to change how this works for the time being.
