Different blog, same name??? (I was here first!)

  Hi there!!! Leanne from One Odd Duck! Hey, I just found another wordpress blog(started November 2011) with THE EXACT SAME NAME!!!! It’s One Odd uck (1oddduck.com) and even Pilcrow theme! Now, I’m all for being flattered but I am starting to get quite a word of mouth following and don’t really care to have my traffic go to another blog!!! Please get back to me with suggestions at [edited]. If I have to shut down, well, let me know. Thanks, folks. I’m sure it was an oversite.

  The website you’re referring to isn’t hosted here at WordPress.com, and it also doesn’t appear to be a blog. Could you please clarify what you’re trying to accomplish?

  Hi Chris. Yup, just checked again. Titled One Odd Duck, but is http://1oddduck.wordpress.com . It is Pilcrow theme, with the books as a header. And it’s a blog. So, um, what am I trying to accomplish? I just want to build my site and readership. Everyone is allowed a voice. I just wondered about the name thing. But I guess there can be many blogs with the same name. I think I’ll change mine so no big deal.

  I see :) Yes, it’s possible for more than one blog to have the same name, unless the name is copyrighted.
