Different blogs, different author names?

Hi, I started a second blog and want to use a different alias (“Author”) for that blog than I do with my primary blog. Is this possible? Or do I have to register a second wordpress account and add that second user as the “Author”? Is that even allowed? I think I should be able to keep my username to myself and have different aliases for my 2 blogs, which have nothing to do with one another, and manage them all using the same dashboard. No?

Sorry, I guess I mean “Nicknames” not “Authors,” although they seem to fill the same function… I just want my Nickname/Author name for each blog to be different so someone can’t click on the Author name for one blog and see posts written on the other blog. I want to keep the blogs separate and write them under different nicknames. Is this possible, and if so how do I do it?

The email address is key. You can create two different personas by registering them with different email addresses. As you already have one persona with one nichkname with two blogs you will have to crate another personas (new email address) and then transfer the blog to that new persona.
