Different dashboard

I have started using WordPress recently. While watching some videos about WordPress, I was wondering – why is my dashboard different than others? For example, I don’t have the ‘menus’ button on the left side of my dashboard. Do you know why that might be the case? -

That is because there are two “flavours” of WordPress.
Most of the videos and tutorials you’ll find online refer to the open source WordPress software. That is free software you can download and install on your own server or at a web hosting provider to build your own site.
Your site, https://babnab.wordpress.com/, is with us on WordPress.com. WordPress.com is a managed host of that software. “Managed” means we handle the software installation and maintenance for you. Additionally, we use our own customized version of WordPress, with our own admin interface and including some features you won’t find in the open source software.
