Different Domain from blog

  Hi,

  I am brand new to creating websites, and I started with a free wordpress blog, and now I am ready to buy the domain. Only I do not want the domain that I originally registered the free blog under. I want to get a slightly different domain, and I am wondering how to do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Please don’t be insluted but I’m not sure if you are clear on what a domain is and what a sub-domain is. WordPress.com is the top lovel domain here and your blog like all free hosted blogs here is on a .wordpress.com sub-domain. When you buy a domain mapping upgrade then you purchase the available domain name of your choice, and what the .wordpress.com sub-domain name is make no differences at all. The two don’t have to the same, similar or related in any way.
