Different fonts in one post problem
-
Here I am with yet another question. You poor guys, you are going to get so tired of me!!!
I just posted a new article on my blog and in doing so ended up with one size font on the 1st and 3rd paragraphs and an entirely different size font on the other paragraphs. When I post an article I do a lot of copy and paste with the article itself as well as the url’s for the links. That might have something to do with my problem here.
The issue is that when I hit “edit” I do not see a “font” tab and so I have no idea how to correct the different size fonts. Will I need to delete the antire article and start over?? If so what should I do different next time?? Or is there something I can do under the “edit” area?? PLEASE help!!!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Forgot one question. Are there different fonts to choose from somewhere in wordpress, or are we limited to just one???

The main problem for the font issues – and it will cause you more problems in the future – is you are pasting from MS Word, which does not speak HTML, the language of the web, and puts in a ton of junk code that simply doesn’t need to be there.
On the first and third paragraphs, Word, for whatever reason, put in x-small font size definitions. For those paragraphs, open the post for edit, switch to the HTML editor, and then take the
<span style="font-size: x-small;">out at the beginning of the paragraph, and one of the ‘</span>’ from the end of the paragraph. You actually have a number of posts where I can see font size differences. One paragraph will be defined by Word with 10pt, and the next will not have a size, which allows the theme you are using to control, and that font size is a little smaller.
My best suggestion is to either quit using Word, or if you feel you must use it, use the “paste from Word” icon on the lower toolbar so that wordpress can strip out the offending codes. Another alternative is to paste the stuff from word into the HTML tab, which will also strip out all offending code.

Fonts are set in the theme, if you use the wordpress editor. You can change fonts of you want but you have to go to the HTML tag and enter the HTML manually.
If you are using Windows, my suggestion would be to get Windows Live Writer, which is an offline blog editor that works very much like Word and allows you to change fonts and such, and does it in a clean way, not like what Word does. Also, if you paste something from Word into it, it will clean up the code before you publish the post.

Hey thanks much. That explains a lot for me. The copy and paste thing makes posting links etc much easier but I will certainly find the “copy from Word” icon and use it religiously from here on. Thank you so much – think I will keep this post for future reference.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
