I am looking to keep the general theme of my blog, but would like to maximize the space on certain subpages. As in to no have the widgets and columns appear on these subpages. How would I do this?
I am trying to conform http://www.ascendancemgmt.com/ into a wordpress based website, if it helps at all.

Some themes have a “no-sidebar” page template that you can assign to static pages and there are some themes that do not show the sidebar on single-post pages and static pages by default. Here are a couple posts by Panos on that subject.

http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/11/12/widgets-on-pages-or-single-posts/Some themes here are pretty rich in CSS and you can actually style pages by page ID differently, but depending on how detailed you want to get and how many different styles you want, it can get involved quite quickly. To do this you would have to have some CSS knowledge and then get the Custom Design upgrade.
