is it possible on wordpress ro do something what she did with her site and has a different header in her portfolio section with tagline text portfolio vs the main landing page of the site? If so, how?

You can set a portfolio page on WordPress.com as well, the look will depend on the theme itself but, have a look at this page to learn how to achieve something similar:

So you can only do it with a portfolio site and not any general site or sny other type of site or blog?

That is not what I was asking. My original question was could I make my site have different headers in different pages like the site I linked to above? I think not unless some themes allow this? However that site looks to be a WordPress site but maybe I am mistaken so how was this person able to do it? only via portfolios?
