Different Hosting Site

  Hi there,

  I just purchased the guided Transfer. I already purchased hosting through Site Ground, and it isn’t coming up as an option. How can i continue with the process of the guided transfer. Please help! :-)

  Hello there Ayden’s Mommy!

  I am sorry but Guided Transfers can only be performed with one of our recommended hosts.

  I certainly don’t want you losing money on this, so my suggestion is to see if you can get a refund with Site Ground, and use one of our supported hosts:

  Or you can stick with Site Ground, and I can certainly give you a refund on the Guided Transfer and cancel that service for you. If you choose this option, you can manually export the content of your WordPress.com site and import it over at your new host.

  Hi there,

  I think I already uploaded wp in to site ground. I guess what I need help with is changing the DNS. Is that very hard? Also, I guess I will need a refund for the guided transfer. :-/ Sorry for the inconvenience. Apparently I am half way there already… Learning as I go.

  No problem at all! I’m happy that I can be of help.

  It appears as if you’ve managed to cancel that Guided Transfer. I see that a refund was issued to you.

  If you would like to adjust your DNS here at WordPress.com, so your domain “points” to your site on Site Ground, you will need to gather your website’s name servers from Site Ground, and then adjust your WordPress.com domain’s settings accordingly.
