different on different computers

  At home if I try to add categories, it won’t let me and says ‘jump to new item’ and kicks me out to the login. If I do it at another computer, it works! Is there something I need to do to my home computer so that it will cooperate with wordpress?

  Are you using different web browsers on the different computers?

  Do you have different cookies settings?

  Do you have different privacy settings?

  Do you have different proxy settings?

  It could be a lot of things.

  oh man… I don’t know……

  at home I have windows xp, the other is window professional 2000 – they are both internet explorer. what should the cookie, privacy and proxie settings be?

  They should both allow cookies and javascript.

  Check that you’re running the latest version of Internet Explorer on both by running Windows Update.

  Do you share the WinXP home computer with someone who may have tweaked the settings for Internet Explorer?

  T, please take a look at in IE on your home PC: Tools -> Internet Options -> Security and tell us what your settings are.

  Please also tell us very specifcially what your home ISP is and what type of a connection it is. I can see the IP address here that you’re posting from.

  I have Qwest high speed. Everything seems to be enabled on my settings….
