Different Password for second blog.

I have a blog and just recently started an art group blog for several people that would like to post artwork etc. Can I have two separate passwords so that they do not have mine. I will do most of the administering of the blog and am happy for my email address to be used for both. A different password?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sorry – one password per account – you will need to add the people that want to post artwork as a user to your blog – they will need to get an account but not a blog
Use the lowest level user that lets them do their Posting – Author or Contributor would be the best, – see below

That sounds great. I assume they will need the password to log in is that right? Is it still possible for me to have protection for my other account?
The account in question is new, I’m really happy with the name so I do not want to lose it. I am happy to start a new email account with a new password and then go through the contributer suggestion that you made. Is this possible? Will it tell me the name I want is already gone? Can I keep the posts and the site as I have made it?
