different private blogs

We are an English language school for teenagers and would like to set up different blogs for different groups that are private from each other and are opened via a password.

At the moment we give them a username and password as either authors (for students) or viewers (for parents and agents), but this allows them to see our other blogs.

    Can you advise
    thanks

  • Hi,

You would need to set up separate WordPress.com accounts (with separate email addresses) in order to be able to do that completely.

  • To be more clear. Each blog would need to be owned by a separate WordPress.com accounts to completely split it from the other.

Thank you for your response. This is what I thought, my problem is that having so many email accounts complicates things. As it is I have 3, 1 as administrator, 1 as author, and 1 as view. So I would need 18 if we had 6 groups and that is not practicable.

It would be great if WordPress could get round this so that the admin would be on one level (top) and beneath could be a number of blogs that were seperate or blind of each other.

The reason that we want this is for privacy and childsafety issues with young students

    Thanks- Laura
