  Hello, we have wordsonalimb.com and we use Twenty Eleven template for our blog. We would like to create a new page using a different template for a sort of landing page. Our preference would be for this page to be under our same domain.

  Alternatively, if we have to create a new blog to use a different theme, is there a way we can keep it under the same domain name we purchased? We’d like to keep it under the same umbrella, we just want this landing page to have a different look.

  It is not possible to use a different theme for a different page within the same site; every page within the site will use the same theme.
  Two blogs will operate under their own domain names, so you can’t integrate that into another blog.

  You could get the Premium plan or the Custom Design module that will allow you to make CSS changes (to either the entire site or to individual pages), and then your one landing page can look different.
