Different user name for second blog?

I’m trying to set up a second blog, but I don’t want it associated in any way with my original blog. I thought there would be a way to set up a profile that is specific to the new blog, but I only see my main profile. I don’t want my posts in the new blog to show up with that user name.
Am I missing the correct way to do this?
Or is my only option to set up a new user account and invite myself to be a contributor to the new blog?
I was hoping there would be some kind of autoswitch function for posting that uses a profile attached only to that blog.

The correct way to do this is the second one you’ve posted. Create a new account and use that to create the blog. There is no “autoswitch” because someone would invariably forget to switch and blame WordPress.com. Too much drama potential there.

Well, the autoswitch would avoid having to remember. It would automatically use the profile you set for that blog.
Unfortunately I already set up the new blog on my existing account, so now the name is already taken.
Can the same email address be used for two different accounts? I would assume not, since email can be used for logging in.

No, it cannot. But you can log out, create a new account, and Invite that account to be admin of the blog.
