Different versions of WordPress?
-
When I log into WordPress through one.com (my webhotel) it looks different than when I log into “normal” WordPress. I can’t access certain things such as inserting a map or a form into my page. And when I try to use the theme I used in “normal” WordPress, the font in that theme is different when I log in through one.com. Does anyone know why it looks different?

Your site at one.com uses the open source wordpress.org as over here sites are running on the wordpress.com platform. To know more about wordpress.org and wordpress.com, https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

Hi there,
I can’t access certain things such as inserting a map or a form into my page
You should be able to embed a Google map on your site at One.com, same as on WordPress.com. And you should be able to embed any other map that offers an embed code – usually the code will begin with
<iframe>, and you paste that into a custom HTML block. So in fact you should have more options to add maps to your site than you have here with us :)The open source version of WordPress you’re using over there doesn’t have any forms built in, though. To add a form you’ll need to use a plugin – which plugin will depend on the specific type of form you want and what information you want to collect via the form. For more advice on what to use for that, you can ask the WordPress.org community who makes that software at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
And when I try to use the theme I used in “normal” WordPress, the font in that theme is different when I log in through one.com. Does anyone know why it looks different?
Are you speaking of the Seedlet theme you’re using on https://liveyourweb433363831.wordpress.com/?
What is your other website’s URL? Seedlet is one of our themes, so we provide support for both the WordPress.com and the self-hosted versions. If you give the URL I can take a look at what might be going on.
