Different view than videos and Agent´s portfolio

    Hi!

    I have problems getting help from tutorials as the view seems different to what I have. In the videos there seem to be a more advanced view with more options compared to mine. I´m using it directly online. Mine is white and blue and the videos normally black as well (not that I mind, just to explain in case this helps finding out why).

    I use Agent theme and am trying to make a simple website with info, a blog function and one portfolio function. I have added these to the menu and have started creating portfolio posts, that I would like to function as a CV more or less. When looking at the theme information you see the photos, click on them and then access the info about that portfolio entry – that´s what I would like.
    I have created and published one portfolio to start with, however, this doesn´t not display when I click on Portfolio on the menu and I cannot figure out why.

    So basically would appreciate some guidance to this issue as well as the question about the view.

    Hi cindycarlsson,

    The other admin which is been shown in the Video tutorials is the Wp-admin dashboard, you can access your Wp-Admin dashboard here:

    So the blue and white dashboard via the MySites is known as the Calypso dashboard and the other one as I mentioned is the Wp-admin. Just some features still are on the Wp-Admin you have to access it for a bit and then use the Calypso admin.

    You should be able to access this dashboard with the same login information, one’s you log in you can then follow the information to enable the Portfolio
    Settings → Writing → Custom Content Types and making sure the “Portfolio Projects” option is enabled.

    Also, to set up the Portfolio, as you add the Portfolio items, you need to assign them Project types to each item, you will find them on the right-hand side while adding Portfolio, if you haven’t added Project type, just add project types, and assign the same Project type to the Portfolio items which you wish to group together.
    Then in your Menu item “Portfolio” assign the particular Project Type to it, the related Portfolio items will appear.
