Different widgets for different categories with diff subtopics

  Hello,

  I am a newbie and I am wondering if I can add multiple Categories as Sidebar widgets – with each category having subtopics. I was able to create two categories and they are supposed to have their own subtopics however, all the subtopics which I created for category 1 are also listed for category 2.
  Please help.
