different widgets for home page in 2012

  I created a static home page for my blog (theme 2012) and see that there are supposed to be customizable widgets for the home page that can be different from the blog pages. I have made changes in my widget area, but nothing is viewing differently on the front end. Help!

  Nevermind I found it. Change of template in the actual page :).
