Difficulties Transferring My Domain

    Hello,

    I am trying to transfer my domain from WordPress to Weebly, and am having difficulties. I have spoken to the Weebly support team, and they suggested my problem may be with the authorization code I received from WordPress. I am wondering if it’s possible to receive a new authorization code, so I may try this process again. Each time I enter all my information, I am told that the transfer has failed due to “invalid authorization information.”

    To complicate matters further, I tried to simply cancel the transfer and the re-request it, in the hopes I might receive a new authorization code. The authorization code I received is the same as my previous code, but now, for some reason (though I am told by WordPress that my domain is unlocked to prepare for transfer) my domain keeps reverting back to being locked and private. I don’t know how to change this. Requesting a transfer, and the updated settings (unlocked privacy) that should come along with this, doesn’t seem to change my private privacy settings.

    Occasionally, the EPP code can expire after a certain period of time. I would suggest you to re-request the code, but since you’re getting the same exact code, I’ll need to see if we can get the authorization code reset for you.

    I will contact our registry partners regarding the code and will update you once I hear back from them.

    Thank you for your response! I actually spoke to someone on the WordPress support team via chat yesterday, and they have already requested from the registry that a new EPP code be sent to me. It’s been about 24 hours since he contacted them, and I haven’t heard any word yet. Hoping to hear something soon.

    We were contacted back from our registry partner and you should now be able to retrieve an updated EPP code.

    Hello,

    When I try to retrieve the new code, the old code is still sent. I’ve let the other WordPress staff member helping me know this too. He’s trying to send me the code directly from the dashboard at the registrar. I haven’t received anything yet. Thank you for trying to help, and I welcome any further advice about obtaining the new code.
