Difficulty in creating new blog

Hello,
I created a blog a long time ago so it has been awhile. I tried to create one earlier today and the blog url box was inactive. I could not insert information. All the other boxes–the blog name, etc. worked fine. What can I do? There is no indication that there is anything wrong with the blog created a year ago. It was about debt and credit. I would appreciate any help as I cannot create a blog until this is resolved. It is a bit frustrating. I may end up needing support help.

If you have read what I said, you understand that I cannot create the blog. It has no url until it is created.

Were you trying to create the blog while logged into wordpress?
If so, were you trying to create a blog by clicking on the “register a blog” link in the blue section at the upper right below where it said, “Welcome back, Username” or were you trying to go through the “sign up now” button while NOT logged in?
What browser and browser version are you using?

As I said, what URL were you trying to use? Maybe you were trying to insert an invalid URL. You were trying to insert a URL and you ran into a problem. What URL were you trying to use.

Yes, I was clicking on the register a blog link. I was using IE7.
I could try Firefox.
The box to insert was not live. It would not accept anything.
Any ideas?

i’ve had the same issue. my reccommendation is to just send a message to support and they’ll set it up for you.
