Difficulty uploading files to the Media Library on free WordPress site.

    I am having tremendous difficulty uploading files to the Media Library. The max. file size is 1 GB; my files are well below that limit. This has been a massive time-waster for me. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I’m getting multiple error messages saying the server is busy or there is an unknown error. Is there a limit to the filename length? Does it only work on certain browsers? What the hell is going on?

    First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/

    If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

    If it is, please do these two things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

    2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
