Difficulty with posting after changing theme

My two assistant editors tell me that on our blogsite when they want to post they are having difficulty in getting to their dashboards since recently we changed theme. How to enter the dashboard from the main page? The old site showed data and administration features. The new site doesn’t show that info. I’m admin. ed. and was the one who changed the theme and have had no problems, but the number of postings by our contributors has fallen right off possibly due to the difficulty of getting to dashboard. Is there something I should check in Settings, or something I should tell my eds. and contributors about signing in or saving passwords? I would appreciate any help you can give.

  • Hi there,

I believe that what you’re referring to is due to the dashboard navigation unification we recently launched. You can ask your editors to check this setting by following these instructions:

    Dear fstat,
I found the toggle and flipped it top the right so that my own admin page display is a little more detailed, but I fail to see how this will help the getting into the dashboard difficulties experienced by my assist. eds. Are you telling me that if they also flip that toggle, they will be able to get to the WP dashboard again without problem?
    Thanks for your collaboration.

It should, yes! Let us know if they still have trouble – or have them comment on this thread – and we’ll be happy to take a closer look.

    OK, will do. Let’s see.
It’ll take time for them to do this and try out the difference. Please keep this open for another fortnight at least.
    Thank you for your help!
    Best wishes,
    Stephen Gill
