Diffrent languages

  Hello everybody,
  I would like to translate my blog in three languages and have button for each language at the top so that when someone German comes to see the page he can have it in German etc.
  Is that possible and if so how?
  Please help me!

  Are you talking about

  1) a page-based site, all in multiple languages

  2) or a blog with posts in multiple languages

  3) or a blog with a few pages, the pages being in multiple languages

  For 1 WordPress probably isn’t your best bet, a site builder/cms with localization support is probably better. Many offer multiple languages with browser detection, etc.

  For 2 I would have a blog for each language: myblog-en.wordpress.com, myblog-fr.wordpress.com. Put links at the top of each post to the other languages.

  For 3 I would use sub-pages (see http://en.blog.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/menusystem.jpg ) for each language, for example “About my blog” might have “के बारे में मेरे ब्लॉग” and “A propos de mon blog”. You could also have links at the top of each page “Also available in: Français, हिन्दी….

  Hi,
  I would have the same kind of question (blog in 2 languages).
  All the posts ill be in 2 languages but the comments would be common?
  The post is in fact only one even if it is in 2 languages.

  [fr]
  blabla in French
  [/fr]
  [en]
  blabla in English
  [/en]

  2 would be the nearest but it is lots of work.

  I think it i spossible with plugins, that means not with wordpress.com?

  I have a similar question, too. :)

  When I checked SiteMeter, I notice some visitors from Saudi Arabia and other countries. I would love to expand my site traffic by having a way to translate my current site into my visitor’s language. I am not fluent in Spanish and don’t have a clue about other languages.

  My blog sites are all “posts”; except for the About page. Each article has its own post. Is there away to enable visitors to use a translator service like Google Translator?
