digg 3 column theme, bottom widgets

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi all,

    I have been using digg 3 column theme properly for a month but a few days ago something interesting occured. My “sidebar 2” moved to the bottom of the theme and “WordPress.com’dan blog alın. Theme: Digg 3 Column by WP Designer” moved to where “sidebar 2” must be. And a search widget appeared. I keep deleting search widget by using “widgets” at the dashboard. It is already deleted but still there!
    I tried to change the theme, but these problems occur in almost every theme.
    here is my site:

    thanks in advance

    I think it is the “read more” tag in your post titled “En zengin 10 (1)”. Read more tags must be placed so that they are in their own paragraph rather than at the end or within a paragraph or they end up splitting HTML tags which causes this to happen.

    Open that post for edit and move the more tag so that it is its own paragraph and things should return to normal for you.

    you are right! thank you!
    i removed the “read more” tag from the “ABD Borsaları’nda yaşanan en büyük 10 düşüş” post in the first page and things are OK but the post is are too long, i really dont want to remove tag.
    I placed the tag several places of the post but i couldnt find the right place. This is for only that post.
    can i add more than one post to the pages other than the front page, if i can i can split posts to other pages so i wont have to add “read more” tags?

    You want the more tag to be like its own paragraph, between paragraph’s you’ve written like below:

    put the more tag here between paragraphs

    Başlangıç Tarihi: 15/1/2000 Bitiş Tarihi: 9/10/2002

    Toplam Gün Sayısı: 999

    DJI Başlangıç 11,792.9
    DJI Bitiş 7,286.27

    Toplam Kayıp yüzde eksi 37.8

    1916 – 1917 yılları arasında yaşanan düşüş:

    This has been an issue, as well, for my blog: http://aprilhayman.wordpress.com.

    I’ve removed the “more” tag from the code because even on its own line it still forced the widgets to the bottom. I’m not sure how to fix this and I’d rather not use another theme as I rather like this one. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Your sidebars look fine in FF 3.0.8. Are you looking at a cached copy?

    thesacredpath;
    I put the more tag where you showed me and it forced widgets to bottom. I did not remove it for you to see. thanks for your help.

    naturalelegance;
    I dont want to use another theme either. If you take a look at my blog, you will see that some posts have more tag and dont force the widgets. but there is only a problem in one post, the latest post.

    ellaella;
    you can take a look at my blog to see the problem

    @econoday: The more tag must not lie between an opening and a closing html tag. At the moment all your paragraphs have a completely unnecessary piece of html code (don’t know how you got that):
    <p style="text-align:left;">TEXT_HERE</p>
    And your more tag is between such a pair of tags. To get rid of all this coding, I suggest you copy all the text from the visual editor, switch to html and paste it, then add the more tag, then format the phrases you want underlined.

    I couldnt do what you suggested but i removed that coding manually.
    Now it works, thank you.
