What is the best way to correct my tabs for the digg3 theme – it should look like this http://tahoestyle.wordpress.com
now on my hosted site http://tahoestyle.com I get the pages in the left nav bar but no tabs ;-(

That is weird. Did you actually put the widgets up in the self hosted blog? Because everything appears fine in the right navbar. Try doing it again, maybe it was some connection problem?

Your hosted blog is using the original version of the theme which was coded to run on wp.org software. That wp.org version was then adapted to run on wordpress.com multiuser software wp-MU. The two are not the same.

Usually when wp.org themes are adapted for wwp.com there are features that are not included in the wp.com versions and also there are changes made that render the two theme versions as being different.

Suffice to say that you cannot hack the wordpress.com version because we cannot access our underlying templates here but you can hack the wordpress.org version.

Also note that questions about wp.org installs must be directed to this forum http://wordpress.org/support
