diplay-posts shortcode not working

It is listed as a supported shortcode for wordpress.com, but it doesn’t work on my page. Please help.

I copied and pasted it from the page you linked to above and modified with my own tag.
The page has some items listed only because i manually added each item. the code is still currently embedded on the page but nothing happens.

I have just started looking at it, but am wondering if you are wanting the same result as you would get by using “category pages” (which can also be tags pages.

The way I differentiate the use of the category or tag “page” is whether I need any text before the post listing. If not, It up is so much easier just to use it. Check out support document on Category Pages and how to add them to your menu. They are so easy to do, you just create your tags (or categories) and connect them to a menu item and there are all your posts under that tag or category.

https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/The other thing I have noticed is that the tag canning-recipes has the – hyphen instead of the _ symbol.
That might just be a mistype in your comment here. Did you want an excerpt for the post to display too or just the title and the image?
