Direct access of the word press account (not via a host)

    I want to be able to directly access this account without going through a host account. It is a.com account, but I am concerned that is attached to my iPage website account which I may not renew. Can you separate this account from that account? Otherwise I don’t really feel like paying for something I may not be able to access after if stop using iPage. Further I cannot get to it via iPage anyway. Mojo never allows it to load. IPage is aware and they are not doing anything about it. It’s been going on for weeks. So… Can you please separate my WordPress account from my Gabrielle Garbin.com domain? Can I access it directly by logging in? Because I find I can’t do that on my iPad or sometimes on my computer. Log in page just doesn’t except my username and password. Am also sometimes brought back to the pre-upgrade account, and I really don’t want to have two different accounts to manage that are actually the same blog.

    Are you trying to move your site from the self-hosted WordPress.org to WordPress.com? To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. At WordPress.com, we provide hosting, support, and tons of features for blogs. Users also have the option to purchase a variety of upgrades to customize the look and feel of their blog. WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins.

    So as seen there are some limitations to moving to WordPress.com. However, if that’s okay with you, to move your site from a WordPress.org instance to WordPress.com, please follow the steps in this guide:

    Also, I see that you want to map your domain: gabriellegarbin.com to your WordPress.com site: gabriellegarbin.wordpress.com. It looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers yet:

    Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:

    • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
