Direct link to subscribe to my blog (not code, not a button, not RSS)
-
Is there a way to get a link I can send to people (in an email) that they can click on to subscribe to my blog with email?
I can’t imagine that in 2014 the only way to do this is to tell everyone “go to my blog and look down in the bottom corner for a tiny box that says ‘Follow’.”
I am not talking about putting a link or button in a website, or an RSS link, or a link for people who have WordPress accounts. Just a plain old regular link so anyone sign up for email updates.
Something along the lines of http://somethingtoread.wordpress.com/subscribe-email
I personally think RSS is fantastic but I need this for people who don’t use it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

These are your options:
You can set up email subscriptions here > Appearance > Widgets > Follow Blog Widgets by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
How do I make my readers subscribe to my WP.com blog without the need to hunt for the Subscription Widget on their own? Since, the solution requires explanation using images as well, you can view it here – http://wp.me/pinhe-iU
If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts go to > Settings > Reading and scroll down to Follower Settings:
These settings change emails sent from your blog to followers.
Logged out users __ Show follow button to logged out users.Checking this will present a follow button to logged out users in the bottom corner of their screen.

You can customize the contact form with multiple fields, change the email address where you’ll be notified, and mark feedbacks as spam from your dashboard. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

OK great thanks. I can’t try it out at the moment but it seems to be what I was looking for.
