  Hi Folks

  I’m sure there’s probably a really easy way to do this but I’ve had a quick search and play with my site and can’t find an obvious way.

  Basically, I’m wanting to link to interesting article on the web but sometimes I don’t have the time to summarise/rewrite them.

  Rather then doing this, and providing a link to the full article (3rd party) is thre a way I can just post a simple ‘title’ that links to the other site directly?

  As an example, one site that appears to do this is http://www.underwatertimes.com

  I’ve tried using the ‘link’ format for such a post, but this requires the use of a title which you click on and which then opens another page on my blog with the link in it. Although this does achieve what I am after to some degree, is there a way of bypassing that and just having the title link to the article offsite. Is there a specific name for this kind of blogging?

  That site is a proudly powered by wordpress site. Click that link in the footer of the site and note where it links to.

  As that site is not hosted here by WordPress.COM, our support docs do not relate to it, and we cannot provide support for it. You are posting to the wrong support forum. You are referring to a WordPress>ORG site.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.   If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
