Directing Readers to my New Site from my old One
-
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help me with my old blog website to have a link or something to my new blog website but they both are on WordPress.com. The content I have on my old website I know I will still have it but not displayed properly. So can I just create a new homepage for it like a Static homepage and just put my new website address there? Looking for a simple solution and not to have to pay for the redirect that I looked up I saw. Thanks,

Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
Can you tell me the location of the old blog and the new blog please?
This will help to determine next steps and the simplest solution.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
What do you mean by location of the old blog and new blog website? Both website I created on WordPress.com the free edition. I was just planning to put a static homepage on the old website and just adding my new link and information on it and then they just click on it to go to my new website. Does that work? Thanks,

Hi Bonnie, I think he just meant an address — a link, like https://youroldersite.wordpress.com.
You’re welcome to just put up a link on the old site if you’d like.
There are other options, too, but we’d need to look at the old site to know which ones are available. Can you share a link?

Hi,
Here is the link:
https://sweetbtheexploringfoodie.wordpress.comThe link was actually underneath where it says which blog website I needed help with.
Ok I been working on a new static homepage for it and adding a small description about my new blog website and the link for it. For my posts on the old website, for it not to be public do I need to change them all to private??
Thanks,
Bonnie
