Directions needed to access an owned domain and redesign it using WordPress

    Hello,

    I have a website that was created by a marketing agency that the company no longer works with. I am kind of starting everything from zero and I am wondering if we can connect the website to WordPress and redesign it as we own the domain (according to the marketing agency) however, I don’t like how they designed it and they included a lot of wrong information that I would like to correct. If this process is possible, I would like to have directions to do it.

    Hi there!

    It seems your domain is registered with GoDaddy, and your site is hosted by Hostgator. It means if you don’t have admin access to your site, you would need to contact Hostgator for help.

    Also, to clarify, your site uses WordPress.org, not WordPress.com. There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it well: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.

    You mentioned starting over with the site. Do you have access to the domain on GoDaddy? If yes, a relatively easier alternative might be to create a new WordPress.com site with us and point the domain here.
