disable carousel

  I want to disable the carousel because it is so slow to load if the pictures are full size (1MB). I don’t want to have to rebuild all my galleries due to the change from attachment page to carousel. But I think I am going to have to delete all my galleries, and resize all my pictures, and then recreate all my galleries due to this change – so that things load faster. When it was just an attachment page it didn’t really matter that the pictures were so large, but if the gallery has a lot of pictures (10+) it is too slow to load.

  We appreciate your feedback. We designed the carousel with viewers in mind and we really think that visitors to your site will enjoy using it to view images.
  We’re looking into possible adding that option, but more than likely we’ll be brining descriptions and comments into Carousel. For now, you can click the “Permalink” link to see the photo’s attachment page.

  No user in their right mind is going to know what “Permalink means”. This is really poorly thought out and problematic.

  I had no problem loading the pictures and having them come up on the Attachement page, but the same pictures refuse to load up into the carousel and the carousel stays black with the white circle turning for minutes on end.

  Really sucks.
