Disable clickable categories on posts??
-
When you create a new post it lists the category that it belongs to as part of the post. Users can click on that category and of course it goes to wordpress.com and lists all blogs with that category/tag. Is there any way to disable that? I don’t want users to click on the category and bring that up. Is it possible to disable that?
Thanks,
DAThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The iNove theme gives you the option of turning the tag and category display at posts off, but that is the only theme.
In some themes it is possible to hide them via the paid CSS upgrade, but in many themes the tags and categories are controlled other post metadata and hiding tags/categories could also hide date, author, comment link, and in at least one theme here also the post title.

I switched to iNove but am not seeing exactly where you control that. Could you be a little more specific? Much thanks.

I did find where you can hide the category altogether. I was hoping to keep the category there but not be able to click on it…..

You could also go to your Privacy settings and choose the middle way, to be invisible to search engines. That will make all your tags local, but of course it’s a big disadvantage, reach-wise.
