disable comments

  I have tried for hours how to turn of comments. Under Discussions, there is no place to uncheck Allow comments. Please send me a direct link so I can find it. Otherwise I will close my account.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I´ve started to follow your guide, but under number 2 “If you’re not seeing the Discussion module while on the post or page editor screen, click “Screen Options” (top right) and tick “Discussion” to make the module show up.”, there is no “Discussion”, only “Author Stats Comments Date”

  You’re welcome.
  For the record,
  a) Each dashboard screen has its own screen options; when you were seeing “Author Stats Comments Date” you were on the posts screen (Posts > All Posts) instead of the post or page editor screen.
  b) My guide offers more convenient ways to disable comments, under “Faster way” and “Even faster”.

  the quick edit screen is the only option that worked to turn off comments. many thanks
