Disable Comments
-
The other day I was able to disable comments on my blog. Today I swear I am following the same instructions (given at http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/), but I can’t get comments disallowed on today’s post. Can anyone help?

Some members were having trouble with comments previously. I was under the impression the issue was fixed. Their issue was using IE browser and when they switched to using Firefox the issue was resolved.
Which browser and version of it are you using?
Have you tried troubleshooting?
- You could have a browser issue so try changing your browser settings, refreshing the page, or clearing the browser cache and cookies – instructions for specific browsers.
- Note that when you make adjustments to your browser settings — changing privacy settings, deleting cookies or increasing security — you will need to close your window and restart the browser before those new settings become effective.
- You could try upgrading your browser.
- You could try using another browser.

You may also want to check your default comment settings on this page > Settings > Discussion > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/

Comments are enabled on new WordPress.com blog posts by default. To change this option for invididual posts/pages you create in the future, look at the following options on the Settings > Discussion screen in the Dashboard:
* Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)
* Allow people to post comments on new articles
