disable comments

  Hi, I am using a twenty ten wordpress (https://michelreuss.wordpress.com/) and I would like to disable comments, i.e. I don’t want a ‘comment box’ to appear on the bottom of articles or pages. The ‘enable/disable comments’ option does not appear in the discussion section. Can you please help?

  Disable Comments in “Settings”> “Discussions”

  Try un-ticking the bottom line in the first section as seen here:
  Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article
  Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)
  <Allow people to post comments on new articles>

  oh, sorry. When you are on an article, first click ‘modify’, when on the modify screen click on ‘screen options’ at the top right and click comment or discussion in this menu, the boxes for ‘enable/disable’ comments will appear in the editing screen below (as well as the pingbacks, etc.). Tell me if it’s working!

  It’s still showing a comment section on the first three or four posts, I checked.
