Disable Comments

  Hi I tried very hard to do this on my own but I can’t find it anywhere. I’m trying to disable comments on a page and I followed the directions in the help guide but once I get to the edit screen I can’t “locate the discussion module” anywhere. I’ve tried to do this a hundred times and I’m getting frustrated.

  It should be much simpler to disable comments on your entire site period. The guides aren’t very helpful.

  1) If you’re not seeing the Discussion module while on the page editor screen, click Screen Options (top right) and check “Discussion” to make it show up.
  2) Faster way to disable commenting on a page: go to Pages > All Pages, hover over page title, click Quick Edit, uncheck “Allow Comments”, click Update.

  PS Dashboard >> Settings >> Discussion allows you to change the defaults for future posts and pages, not for already published ones.
