Disable comments not working…

  I tried to disable the comments feature as directed; Settings > Discussion > uncheck the “Allow people to post comments on new articles” box. > Save Changes. I STILL get comments. (Mostly from bots, I imagine.) Any clues what to do next? Does it matter if the comment are on old posts, not “new” posts?

  Hi there,

  Once you’ve done that, comments should be closed in all of yous posts. However you may enable/disable comments on per post basis. Maybe you have posts which comments are enabled via the editor. You may bulk edit them all to disable comments. Just follow the instructions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit
