Disable header photo on pages
-
Hi guys,
I would like to have the header photo only on the home page,
And then when I go to the About Us page for example, the pages is shown with the header, but not the photo, neither the title and subtitle of the website.Because when I click on a page, on most computer screen, it won’t change anything to the user until he scroll down the page,
Thanks !
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Staff: Please remove the “Duplicate” tag in the sidebar. This topic is not a duplicate. It is unrelated to the only other topic started by the member.

Hi there – to hide the custom header everywhere except the homepage, you’d need some Custom CSS, which is available with the Premium or Business plans. If you decide to upgrade, let meknow and we can provide you with the CSS here, or in the CSS Customization forum.

I wonder if Page Jumps (anchor links) might be a practical and free workaround in this case.

musicdoc1 – interesting idea!
You could add a menu link to https://strasbourgmun.wordpress.com/#main to jump down to the main part of each page.

Thanks. I like the “#main” extension. The principle weakness I see with it is that it jumps below the titles on static pages, at least with the present theme applied, as can be seen in the following examples from the site:
https://strasbourgmun.wordpress.com/preparation/#main https://strasbourgmun.wordpress.com/committees/#mainand also jumps below the titles on archives pages:
https://strasbourgmun.wordpress.com/author/ilanchillinproject/#main
though it works quite well on the blog page:
https://strasbourgmun.wordpress.com/blog/#mainBy the way, in the forum topic “home” on menu, I passed along the “#main” extension almost immediately after you taught it to me.

Oops! I forgot that using the code button would break the links. I’ll just provide one example this time:

Good catch, musicdoc – Lodestar’s sticky header does hide the top of the anchor point on some screen sizes. #content is a little better –
https://strasbourgmun.wordpress.com/preparation/#content
By the way, in the forum topic “home” on menu, I passed along the “#main” extension almost immediately after you taught it to me.
Nice. :) Glad it was helpful.
ilanchillinproject – just let us know what route you decide to take and if we can help with anything further.

The only thing is that for the moment I’m using pages and not custom link in the header, I’ll change it when the website is done
