Disable hotlinking and right click
-
Hello,
I’m wondering whether or not there is a feature that disallows hotlinking to images you post. I would also like to disable right click options when it comes to images (to make it harder to save them).
Thanks in advance for any responses!

There is not. It doesn’t work very well anyway; I’m no hacker but it takes me about three seconds to get around it. See here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-can-i-keep-my-image-files-from-being-down-loaded?replies=3

Thanks for the response.
There is no feature for either one of my wishes? Because there is a different reason I would like to prevent others from hotlinking than there is to disable right clicking, although both reasons are copyright related. Your comment only addresses prevention of downloading, not prevention of hotlinking.
I would like to disable hotlinking, because embedding or linking to content from its original source is legally speaking no new publication/divulgation “in a copyright way” and is therefore legal. Disabling right click on the other hand, makes it slightly harder for third parties to save or copy your content, partially obstructing the possibility to re-upload it later. When re-uploading, the third party would communicate the content to a new public, meaning doing so would be illegal without the author’s consent. That people can circumvent this easily, doesn’t make it less illegal.
Disabling hotlinking would prevent others from doing something legal I don’t want them to do, where disabling right click would make it harder for them to do something illegal.
