Disable html in comments?
-
Hi. I’m new to wordpress. I’ve noticed that on my blog, before the comment area, it says “Line and paragraph breaks automatic, e-mail address never displayed, HTML allowed: <abbr title=””> <acronym title=””> <b>
<cite>
<del datetime=""> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> " How can I delete that or disable it? My blog is located at missionsminded2818.wordpress.com if you need to see it to understand.Thanks!

There is nothing wrong. This is NORMAL. This Benevolence theme like many others has been coded by its designer to display exactly what it is displaying so those who leave comments know which HTML markup choices they can use in comments. If you do not like this then you will have to change to another theme that does not display these instructions to readers.

You can’t delete that information. It is included in the underlying HTML files for the theme and we do not have access to those files here. You can change themes to one that does not display that information.

The HTML for comments in the theme you are using can be hidden with the paid CSS upgrade, but the upgrade is not recommended unless you have some CSS editing experience. There is no official support for it and only a few here with any level of experience, and those people are not always around.
