Disable / Reset 2-Factor Authentication

  Hi. I managed to reset my phone not realising I hadn’t backed up my Authenticator App. I have managed to login to my WordPress account and want to set up 2-factor authentication again with a new app.

  However, I can’t disable 2-FA without entering a code from the old app.

  How can I disable / Reset 2-Factor Authentication without access to the old app. I do have Back-up Codes.

  That’s when you must use one of the backup codes you got when you set up 2FA and you had to print out or save on a safe place.

  Ah ha! I didn’t realise the back-up codes could only be used once. Now sorted.
