  Hello Mimi,

  I’m not aware of only CSS code to disable right clicking – it usually includes a javascript option.

  I noticed you have your own domain on WordPress.com. Do you happen to have a Business account? If so, you can likely use a plugin for that.

  You can search for available plugins by going to My Site > Plugins, and click the Add Plugin button. You can search for Disable Right Click plugins in the search bar.

  thanks for your answer it does help!
  do you know of any other way to disable the right click feature without using a plugin?
  I could use one but i’ve read that these plugins aren’t working very well?

  Hi there,

  Pretty much any plugin which offers the ability to disable right click won’t work very well, and I wouldn’t recommend making this a change to your website. You may be interested in this response from a staff member here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/right-click-disable-2/

  Disabling right click doesn’t really do anything. All it does is annoy regular people who visit your site as they’ll see your site breaking their web browsers, while it won’t do anything to prevent people who want to copy your content from doing so – there are many browser add-ons available that can just override your code and re-enable right click. And if someone really wanted to they could just take a screen shot of the content or view your site’s source code using their browser’s built in browser developers tools and copy your content that way.

  But unfortunately, I’m not a position where I can suggest a reliable plugin to you, I just wanted to let you know that it may not be the best change to make to your site. :)
