I need to hide my WordPress Website from public view or disable it somehow. All I have is an ipad. Need help

You are able to hide your site from public view for as long as you wish. Here is the link which shows how to do that:

More to the point, is your site hosted here at WordPress.com or elsewhere using the WordPress.org software. The two wordpresses operate differently. With the WordPress/org software you’d need to install a plugin to make your site private.
