Disable the comment field

  Hello WP-Support
  I recently read an article here, about the comment field, It said that this field is enable by default on the pages wordpress.com . However its is possible to leave this field disable. How?
  I changed the configuration, as explained here, but it did not work. I do not need it on my page.
  Could you help me?

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/ for posts and pages that already exist, you will have to Edit each of them to disable comments. The universal settings only change future posts and pages.
