Disable the follow button
-
Hi
On every blog, I suppose, one get the button ‘follow’ on the right bottom corner.
Is there any way how to disable this button, or is it part of WordPress term&conditions, to have it on every blog.Kind Regards
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The follow button located on the top admin bar can’t be deactivated as it’s built in, there are no follow buttons in the right bottom corner?
-
If you mean the subscribe widget however, this can be removed in Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets and removing the Subscribe widget, if a blog you follow has a subscribe button, it’s because they put it there.

I’ve taken 16 calls and logged about 2 or 3 emails an hour since 9am, so yeah it keeps me from falling asleep :)

Really?? It’s coming up on mine. Are you logged in though as then it appears at the top?
I don’t think I can remove it for WordPress members, but for the average user of our site I don’t want it to show. It’s so annoying!
I’ve logged out and it appears. We don’t want people to register for updates, just to see the blog/site in its full glory as it is ;0)
Thanks

oh you mean the grey admin bar on top. Yeah you can’t get rid of that, that’s a part of WordPress.

ahh ok I see what you mean when you say the ‘bottom right corner.’ I see it when i log out. I don’t think there’s any way of getting rid of that.

I’ve logged out and I see what you mean now, unfortunately I think this is built in too :(

That’s strange though as I had a company design the blog for me and it wasn’t there. When it was transferred to me it appeared.
Maybe a Happiness Engineer can help?? Please…..
Cheers

Disregard everything I just said. I believe you can disable the button

(Question 2):2. I don’t like it. How can I turn it off on my blog? Easy. Go to your Dashboard. Click on Settings, then Reading, then Email. Sorry you don’t like it – but we understand. If you change your mind, this is also the place to go to customize the message new followers (subscribers) will see.
