Disable URLs to links
-
I notice wordpress automatically converts URls in the text of my posts into hyperlinks in the html presented. I’d like to disable this, as it’s very intrusive when posting code snippets, as in this post:
CORS support in WebAPI, MVC and IIS with Thinktecture.IdentityModel
Notice I have “http://foo/com” in the text and something in wordpress converts it to: 1) a hyperlink and 2) smart quotes — both are very annoying because they alter my intention in the post.
Please advise. Thanks.

The info on this page should solve your issue:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/posting-source-code/
There is even an “autolinks (true/false)” parameter you can set. It makes all URLs in your posted code clickable. (defaults to true).
Take a look through that page and let me know if you have any further questions. I’ll be happy to help.
