Disabling 2 step authentication
-
I want to disable my 2 step authentication and have followed all the steps to do so but when I log into wordpress.com I still get asked to enter my authentication verification.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just so we are on the same page, are these the instructions you are following:
If so, do you get all the way through to entering the authentication code?
-
Hi, Yes they are the instructions I am following. I do get through to the authentication code and once it has been disabled it displays how to create it again which I don’t proceed with. Then next time I log into my blog I have to enter in the authentication verification.

And just to check, you are doing this from a computer and not from a phone or other mobile device?

Just for the heck of it, can you try logging in with a different browser and seeing if that makes a difference?

Hi there,
I have just tried logging in with another browser and the same thing happens. I have to keep asking for a new code to be sent via sms recovery as I have used all of my back up codes. Can you disable it from your end at all? -
I’m going to send you an email to your registered address so that we can discus this more privately. Please let me know if you do not get it.

rootjosh — I am having the same problem. Can you please email me to discuss as well? I am at the end of my rope here.
