Disabling a domain name

  Hello,

  I’m trying to revert the domain name of my blog to the original dinneronthefarm.wordpress.com

  It’s currently redirecting to dinneronthefarm.com which now hosts an html website elsewhere, but I would like to still like to link to the blog on WordPress through dinneronthefarm.wordpress.com/create

  Please advise.

  If it still redirects for you, please clear your browser cache.

  Would you like me to remove the mapping altogether?

  Perfect, thanks!

  I see that http://dinneronthefarm.wordpress.com/create/ now points to the blog, but the blog itself is empty. I’m actually trying to help out the owner of the blog with these things so I hope that I didn’t manage to delete her existing blog….

  If so, is there any way to repopulate it?

  Right, but it wasn’t empty before – sorry for the confusion. It had a lengthy blog on it but when the domain name switch happened at GoDaddy (or somewhere along the way) a couple of days ago, the blog disappeared from that page.

  I’m just wondering if there’s anyway to recover the blog that existed on http://dinneronthefarm.wordpress.com/create/ ?

  I’m not familiar enough with the CMS of WordPress to know if that’s even possible.

  I really appreciate your support.

  A domain switch would not have affected the content at all.

  You can review the past revisions of that particular page in the Revisions module toward the bottom here:

  It appears there wasn’t ever any content on that page.

  All the posts on WordPress.com show on the front page by default. You can move them to other pages, but they all still appear on the same page. It’s possible that at some point, the owner of the blog had her settings set up to move the posts to the “Blog” page, but they’re showing on the front page now.

  So, the post that you’re looking for is most likely with all the other posts here:
  http://dinneronthefarm.wordpress.com/

  All the posts are also listed in the backend here:
  https://dinneronthefarm.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php

  If you still can’t find it there, can you give me a bit more detail about what it was about? I’m sure it’s there somewhere, happy to help track it down. :)
